An Interest in Bike Touring
A few days ago, I got a new bike.
It's only a Trek bike; nothing too crazy. It rides better than my old bike, at least, so no complaints from me. Well, one complaint is that it's a bit harder to climb uphill, but that's a skill issue from me.
Anyway, I've been looking at videos about the bike, and for the first time the algorithm worked out well because I've been recommended videos of bikepacking and bike touring.
I actually used to be interested in bikepacking and touring last year, but I never got so invested to it because of things and my bike was just overall broken.
It sounds pretty cool. Biking anywhere you want, the freedom, being away from everything. I suppose it's so intriguing because it's the perfect opportunity to get away from my screen and family and just... live in the moment.
I think it would be cool to ride across the country someday, or just riding a very far distance. I know I need to be more fit and ride my bike more; I plan to ride more when it gets warmer. Perhaps someday.
